![]() ![]() That was caused by the mixer panel not booting at startup and traced that to an service involving windows media player wanting access to the internet. I then started having problems with track latency compensation. It was showing Microsoft Register Servers in the mixer panel which I was able to remove. They are likely due to my repair attempts going too far. I'm still having some smaller issues at this point. I locked down my firewall to notify me of all incoming and outgoing traffic and sure enough - when I go to load an Iloc plugin the plugin pings the Iloc site. They only used to need a running network card, not actual internet access. Iloc uses these mac addresses (like several companies do) to register the plugins. Iloc made me do another upgrade before I could register the new plugins.Īpparently this upgrade was to fix the problem caused by their last upgrade which involves mac addresses. In the process I added another free plugin that required Ilok. ![]() I was finally able to weed out the problems after removing a bunch of crap that had been on the system for a long time. It may have been windows update installing win 10 crap on a win 7 unit. I used several antivirus programs to find out what was driving my CPU demand up into the stratosphere. I believe part of the problem was caused by the remnants of Iloc install which was imbedded in the root key or possibly something caused by Adobe. I've ironed out most of the problems with high CPU levels causing the fans to run at high speed. I was getting a problem with the CPU fan running at high speed and a number of problems with projects crashing. Now I have to be on line for the plugins to be recognized when I open them and I've had nothing but problems since. In the problem of fixing the problem I reinstalled the plugin's and Ilok and it forced me to upgrade the Iloc. I didn't realize it at the time but my main board batter went dead and the computer clock defaulted to an earlier date and the plugin drivers were flagged by Sonar as having an invalid date/time. The plugins would work with the internet disconnected too.Ī couple of months ago I had issues with the plugins not being recognized by Sonar. I was able to license the plugins and never had to mess with it again. I had an older version of the Ilok which ran fine. I have several free plugins I got and if it wasn't the fact I like them I'd never have ILok running on my computer.
